Cynthia McClelland Named Director, Community Relations at Sierra Nevada CollegeIncline Village, NV (March 12, 2007) – Sierra Nevada College (SNC) has selected Cindy McClelland as the new Director of Community Relations, effective March 19, 2007. “I am delighted that Cindy will be joining us as SNC’s first Director of Community Relations,” said SNC Interim President Larry D. Large. “As a valued member of the Incline Village community, she is well prepared to help us develop and expand our outreach activities and programs. Cindy’s extensive marketing background will also strengthen our efforts to build and sustain a strong pool of prospective students for the college.” Of her new post, McClelland said, “I am very excited at all that SNC has to offer and look forward to its tremendous potential as an active, viable participant in our community.” McClelland brings to SNC fifteen years of marketing experience for a variety of high-tech software companies, and over ten years’ experience in creating, marketing, and growing many nonprofit organizations in North Lake Tahoe, including Incline Star Follies, Lake Tahoe Chautauqua, Project MANA, the Children’s Cabinet of Incline Village, and the Parasol Community Collaboration. Recently she has served as the weekly “slice of life” columnist for the North Lake Tahoe Bonanza. Among the distinguished awards McClelland has received are the
2001 Volunteer of the Year from the Incline Village/Crystal Bay Chamber of
Commerce and the Silver Pen Award from the Reno Gazette-Journal in 2004. She
received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from DePaul University
and is a certified Montessori teacher. Her personal interests include tennis,
skiing, baking, and traveling. |
