Are you VRML enabled?

Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 seems to come with the Cosmo VRML player automatically installed (if not, see Windows below).  Microsoft IE4 can be VRML enabled by selecting the "VRML 2 Viewer" entry from the "Install IE4 Add-on Components" when you first insert the CD.

For either Internet Explorer or Netscape, we suggest for better quality 3D viewing that you download the free Cosmo Player Version 2.1. Cosmo Player
bulletUnix -- cosmo.sgi.com
bulletWindows -- www.zdnet.com/downloads... search "cosmo"

With Netscape Navigator you can tell if your browser is already VRML enabled by checking... Help, About-Plugins. You are already VRML enabled if you see something like:

Mime Type Description Suffixes Enabled
x-world/x-vrml VRML Worlds wrl Yes

If you are not already enabled, you can quickly and easily download VRML plugins from a variety of sources, including:

bulletParallel Graphics offers the very nice free Cortona VRML client [Windows, Mac and Pocket PCs]
bulletCosmo Player is a result of SGI's Webspace effort. [Windows 95, Windows NT, and SGI Irix]
bulletWIRL is a plugin available for installation with either Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer [Windows 95, Windows NT; Unix in development]
bulletModel Viewer is a Netscape helper application provided by HP [HP-UX]
bulletVRwave is a VRML 2.0 browser plugin [various operating systems, including Sun]
