WAMware Announces I-FIND 3.0...
Integration Platform for I-DEAS, Unigraphics, Solid Edge and other leading CAD Systems

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — June 1, 2001 – WAMware and its joint venture partner ECS GmbH, leading providers of products and services for integrating enterprise product development, announced today the immediate availability of Version 3 of the I-FIND software product.

I-FIND is a web-based "pre-PDM" system that tracks and distributes CAD and related engineering data throughout the enterprise, allowing non-engineering users to access and evaluate design data without the need to operate a CAD system.  For some companies this may eliminate (or postpone) the need for an enterprise PDM backbone.  For larger companies that already have PDM in place, I-FIND can serve as an intermediary which enables a level of control and distribution for data before it is introduced into the PDM system, reducing overhead time and costs associated with PDM.  I-FIND is simple, fast, and economical, provides significant functionality out-of-the-box, is extensible, and is available for Windows and Unix server platforms.

Early release customers are very excited about I-FIND 3.0… particularly with how I-FIND can integrate and distribute a variety of CAD datasets, including I-DEAS, Unigraphics and Solid Edge, plus Pro/E, Catia, and SolidWorksWith the recent EDS-initiated merging of SDRC and UGS, these I-FIND capabilities will be of great benefit in managing the inevitable co-existence of multiple CAD systems within major organizations.

The new I-FIND 3.0 release has been designed for amazingly quick implementation... minutes and hours, rather than weeks and months.  Various modules of I-FIND can be downloaded for trial evaluation and then purchased on-line.  Key elements of I-FIND 3.0 are:
