Press ReleaseThe Founding of "WAMware"... a Catalyst for
CAD/CAM/CAE Success
CINCINNATI, Ohio September 5, 1996 Wayne A. McClelland, a 25 year
technology and marketing veteran of the CAD/CAM/CAE industry, today announced the founding
of WAMware, Ltd., a management consulting company. Much as "glueware"
contributes to software integration, WAMware will facilitate the critical
dovetailing of management and end users
recognizing that the energizing of
peopleware is absolutely key to deriving real business benefits from CAD/CAM/CAE
investments.
Wayne McClelland (see Biographical
Sketch) begins WAMware after a stellar 25 year career at SDRC, where he was Vice
President and executive in charge of development and marketing for the very successful
I-DEAS Master Series product.
"Wayne has contributed significantly to the success of SDRC with his unique
ability to authoritatively and motivationally communicate with customers on both
management and technical issues. We are pleased to be the first customer of Waynes
new company and to continue to leverage his talents to the benefit of our I-DEAS users
worldwide.", said Albert F. Peter, CEO and President, SDRC.
WAMware will leverage the worldwide reputation of its founder. "Wayne
McClelland is known by thousands of Japanese engineers as Mr. I-DEAS."
said Yoshimitsu Nakayama, Manager, Mechanical Design Automation, Sony. "The Sony
Corporation is very pleased to have established a partnership with WAMware in order to
accelerate the implementation of I-DEAS at Sony and other major Japanese manufacturing
companies."
Often complimented as "the only CAD executive that can authoritatively demo
the software", Wayne combines energy and in-depth knowledge as key ingredients to
unify management and end users toward the shared goal of re-engineering the product
development process.
WAMware provides CAD/CAM/CAE management consulting services to end customers and
solution providers. Services to end customers include Management Oversight, Implementation
Planning, and Implementation Audits. Services to SDRC and its partners include technology
management seminars, critical review of product and marketing plans, as well as internal
training for sales and application engineers.
